EXCLUSIVE: Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel’s Lotus Entertainment is launching a management division with former Anonymous Content exec Lenny Beckerman at the helm. Lotus Management will work with writers, directors and content creators across all aspects of their careers. A major plus for the start-up will be its association with Lotus Entertainment, which has the ability to fully finance and handle sales on its projects.

Beckerman spent 11 years at Steve Golin’s Anonymous Content, which pioneered the management-content generation model that’s increasingly in vogue as the industry adapts to shifting business models. He is in preproduction on Exit 147, which Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas) is directing from a script by Lotus Management client Travis Milloy (Pandorum).

Lotus has a high-profile slate of projects in the pipeline, including Duncan Jones’ sci-fi drama Mute, starring Paul Rudd and Alexander Skarsgard, and the planned Amy Winehouse biopic to be directed by Kirsten Sheridan and with Noomi Rapace attached to star as the tragic yet brilliant singer.

“We are going to build a high-quality management company to complement a great film production, finance and foreign sales company,” Beckerman said. Added Johnson and Seibel, “Lenny has extensive knowledge and experience in both film and television, has excellent relationships with writers and other content creators and is also very experienced in production.”
