Peter Nowalk, creator/executive producer/showrunner of How To Get Away With Murder, has signed a rich new overall deal Viola Davis in How to Get Away with Murderwith ABC Studios, which is behind the sophomore ABC drama. Under the pact, Nowalk will continue as executive producer and showrunner on HTGAWM, which is certain to be renewed for a third season, as well as develop new projects. The three-year pact is said to be retroactive to the beginning of the season.

Nowalk started off as a writer on Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy, followed by a stint as a co-executive producer on Rhimes’ Scandal before Nowalk created HTGAWM for ABC Studios and Rhimes’ studio-based Shondaland. He is repped by UTA and attorney Robert Offer.
