If you like bowling and dreading the inevitable march of death, the dramedy Sex, Death And Bowling has you covered. The film follows the relationship between 11-year-old Eli (Joshua Rush) and his prodigal uncle (Adrian Grenier) who has returned home after years away when the boy’s father is stricken with cancer. When the uncle takes his ill brother’s place on their bowling team, old family wounds are examined and family rifts healed.

In the clip above, watch the moment Grenier’s character decides to join the team. It’s tear-jerky and melodramatic, but I love bowling and frankly, I’m a sucker for stuff like this. For more, we’ve embedded the trailer below.

Rush and Grenier are joined by Selma Blair, Bailey Chase, Drea de Matteo, and Mary Lynn Rajskub. The film was written and directed by Ally Walker in her feature debut, and produced by Sig De Miguel, Larry Rattner, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, and Walker. Sex, Death And Bowling hits select theaters November 6.
