Fox has given a script commitment with significant penalty to a drama from Scott Rudin Prods., writer-producer Eli Attie and 20th Century Fox TV. The project stems from Rudin’s first-look deal with Fox Networks Group and Attie’s overall pact with 20th TV.
Written by Attie, the untitled drama is described as a family saga about class, power, and the price of ambition. Attie executive produces with Scott Rudin Prods.’ Rudin and Garrett Basch, who oversee the company’s TV efforts, as well as Eli Bush.
Under its first-look deal with Fox Networks Group, SRP has been actively developing and setting up projects at FBC, FX and Nat Geo.
Attie worked in politics, serving as speechwriter for Vice President Al Gore, before making the switch to television. He has worked on such series as The West Wing and House. Under his overall deal with 20th TV, he is currently writing for new Fox drama Rosewood. On the feature side, Attie, repped by WME and Jackoway Tyerman, was named to the 2009 Black List for his screenplay Smile Relax Attack.
