Jane The Virgin executive producer Ben Silverman has teamed with the sophomore CW series’ co-executive producer Corinne The CW Logo 1Brinkerhoff for No Tomorrow, another hourlong comedy for the CW from CBS TV Studios and Electus. Like Jane, No Tomorrow is based on a Latin American format, this time from Brazil’s Grupo Globo. Written by Brinkerhoff and the comedy writing-directing team Scott McCabe and Tory Stanton aka Two Trick Pony, No Tomorrow centers on Sarah, a risk-averse quality-control assessor who falls for free-spirited thrill seeker Xavier –twotrickpony– only to find out he lives his life that way because he believes the apocalypse is coming. No Tomorrow, which is envisioned as a potential companion for Jane, is described as a romantic comedy with the ultimate ticking clock (8 months and 12 days, to be exact). Brinkerhoff and Silverman executive produce with Sean Canino.

The original Brazilian series, How To Enjoy The End Of The World, was bensilvermannominated for an International Emmy in 2013.

Brinkerhoff, who worked on the CBS/CBS TV Studios drama The Good Wife, is the creator and executive producer of CBS/CBS Studios/Amblin TV’s recently picked-up summer series American Gothic, set to launch next year. She is repped by UTA and attorney Ken Richman.

In addition to No Tomorrow, ABC has in development The Party, from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire, which also is based on a Brazilian TV format from Grupo Globo.
