Melissa McCarthy is back with a comedy that mines the past several years of business news for jokes and comes out just as the election season will be heating up — and thank goodness for it. The Boss sees McCarthy as a rich-as-Croesus business titan who loses everything when she’s sent to jail for insider trading. Released several months later, she moves to rebuild her shattered empire, going up against the resistance of the people she screwed over and forced to rely on her put-upon former assistant. Comedy and Girl Scout brownies ensue, as you can see in the new trailer that dropped tonight.

McCarthy is joined by Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates. Ben Falcone directs from a script he co-wrote with wife McCarthy and Steve Mallory, based on her original idea. McCarthy and Falcone produce through their On the Day banner along with Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy through their Gary Sanchez Productions banner. The Boss hits theaters April 8.
