After helping establish a second independent television studio, veteran TV business executive Richard Frankie is moving on. Frankie, who has served as head of business affairs at Legendary Television and Digital Media since 2013, will be succeeded by NBCUniversal VP Business Affairs Jennifer Wong Grazier.

grazierI hear Frankie approached Legendary TV and Digital Media President Bruce Rosenblum a few months ago with his plans to leave the company. He agreed to stay on board while a replacement was found. After a search, Legendary TV has appointed Wong Grazier, who, after nine years at NBCUniversal, had been looking for a new challenge, possibly in a more entertpreneurial environment. A lawyer by trade, Wong Grazier joined NBCU in 2006 as Senior Counsel, Legal Affairs, and was named VP Business Affairs in 2010. She worked primarily with Universal Television, negotiating deals for development, talent, rights acquisition, production, third-party licensing and product integration.

Frankie was one of the first senior executives brought in by Rosenblum shortly after he started Legendary TV and Digital Media. Frankie came from Gaumont International Television, where he also did a two-year stint as COO, helping build the independent production company from the ground up.
