What would you do if you were suddenly granted life, youth, and the opportunity to either correct your mistakes or settle old scores? That’s the premise behind Fox’a upcoming action drama Second Chance, from Rand Ravich (Life, Crisis) and Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24). The show focuses on 75-year old Jimmy Pritchard, a former corrupt LA county sheriff, now isolated after a lifetime of hard living and neglecting his family. Murdered when he stumbles on a robbery at the home of one his children, he’s miraculously brought back to life thanks to the efforts of a pair of tech billionaires, and finds himself younger and with superhuman abilities. Now he must decide what to do with his second chance at life.
Rob Kazinsky (True Blood) stars as the newly revived Pritchard, with Tim DeKay (White Collar) as his son, along with Dilshad Vadsaria and Adhir Kalyan as the people behind his resurrection. Phillip Baker Hall (Magnolia) guests as the elderly Pritchard. The show premieres January 13 on Fox.
Weirdly enough, this is the second Fox television show by this title. The first starred Matthew Perry and aired in 1987 and 1988. The more you know.
