HBO is welcoming home a familiar face next year. Here is our first look at erstwhile Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker in Divorce, the single-camera comedy created by Sharon Horgan that HBO picked up in April. It’s her first major TV acting commitment since the iconic SATC wrapped back in 2004. Back in New York City for the story of a very, very long divorce, Parker stars as Frances, who suddenly begins to reassess her life and her marriage and finds that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought. The show is set to launch in 2016.
Divorce, which joins the female-led HBO comedies Veep and Girls, also stars Thomas Haden Church as Robert, Frances’ husband; Molly Shannon as Diane, Frances’ high-strung friend; and Talia Balsam as Dallas, a close friend of Frances’.
