Donald Trump once again proved his ratings Midas touch, with NBC’s Saturday Night Live the latest to get “the Trump bump.” The Presidential candidate’s highly publicized, controversial and met-with-mixed reactions hosting gig on the light-night show averaged a 6.6 rating in the metered-market households and a 2.7 in adults 18-49 in the local people meters with musical guest Sia, easily season highs in both categories.
The 6.6 metered markets household rating was the highest for Saturday Night Live in almost four years, since Jan. 7, 2012 (7.0/18 with host Charles Barkley and musical guest Kelly Clarkson). The 2.7 18-49 rating was the show’s highest in close to two years, since Feb. 1, 2014 (2.9/12 with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Imagine Dragons).
Trump criticism is coming. Let us think though. Had social media and such been around for generations, what people may, or may not of, got elected.
It was an ok episode of SNL. They blew their big moment, but the ratings were HUGE. Mission accomplished.
The rating was neither “HUGE” nor the biggest ever in the advertising demo that matters. A sales flop. Not upholding the capitalist, business standard very well Trump. A definite fail.
Note: I didn’t say “Huuuuugeeee.” I just said huge.
One of the best SNL’s in years. Mr.Trump was awesome! He’s going to be a great president. America needs him, and the Whitehouse will be be great — once again!

In the only ratings that matter (the 18-49 demo), Mr. Trump couldn’t even beat the Melissa McCarthy hosted show from two years ago. All the promotion, all the press, all the chest thumping and hot air — wasn’t stronger than a bridesmaid. Weak Trump, weak!
There’s nothing sadder in show business than an act that’s worn out its’ welcome.

Now he has something else to brag about, tomorrow he’ll say, “Did Hillary give SNL it’s best ratings in years? No “I” gave them their best ratings in years”. Then he’ll thank the protesters for help drawing attention to the show.

The sad thing for SNL was they knew millions more would be watching, and they couldn’t even bring their “Z” game to the table. It’s no wonder this show is so irrelevant.

This show was so awful. I felt like the writers, who are probably not Trump supporters, kind of checked out on this one.
It was boring and unfunny as is the case with Saturday night live. It’s about forty minutes of wasted comedy and the rest in commercials.
Huge fail! Not even highest numbers in the last five years! SNL were the big losers on this one. You lost loyal SNL watchers for people who only watched last night and won’t watch again.
The problem is that snl has no competition for viewers on sat nite. it’s basically a vacant time slot.
