EXCLUSIVE: Chris Terrio, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Argo who also penned the upcoming tentpole Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice for Warner Bros, has re-signed with CAA. The move comes just more than two years after he left that agency for WME.
Terrio’s run goes back to writing and directing the 2005 pic Heights, but his rise to A-list scribe came because of Argo, for which he won the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar and plenty of other trophies for it while at CAA. He has been writing one high-profile project after another since, including Batman V. Superman which is due out March 25, 2016, and Warners’ DC Universe Justice League pics of course. He’s currently writing those.
His writing credits also include the upcoming A Foreigner at Paramount, Tell No One based on the Harlan Coben bestseller at Warner Bros and Universal, and The Ends Of The Earth at The Weinstein Company. He continues to be repped by attorney James Feldman at Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler & Feldman.
This is the latest A-list writer to land at CAA recently. The agency signed Oscar-winning The Departed scribe William Monahan, now a writer-director, in August, and the next month inked Concussion‘s Peter Landesman ahead of Sony Pictures’ release Christmas Day.
