The seventh annual Blood List was unveiled this morning, which compiles the best, unproduced dark genre screenplays and TV pilots. The list is compiled each year by manager/producer Kailey Marsh after a vote is tallied by those in the creative community — specifically by creative executive level and higher. It is announced every Halloween. This year 66 execs voted in compiling the list that includes 13 screenplays and six TV pilots. “I was excited to see more women on the list this year,” said Marsh. “It’s also a very diverse list in what people consider dark. This year it’s a bit different … it’s poppy stuff … like more fun, cool, slick projects,” she said. This year’s list includes horror, crime drama, sci-fi, horror comedy, mysteries and thrillers.
