Following miniseries The Pillars Of The Earth and World Without End, Tandem Productions is getting back into the Ken Follett business. The Studiocanal subsidiary has optioned Code To Zero with the spy novel to be adapted as a limited series. Studiocanal will handle world sales.

Code To Zero was originally published in 2000 with the action taking place in 1958. The TV version will be set in the present day when a man awakens to find himself lying on the ground in a railway station with no memory of how he got there or even his own name. Slowly, he rediscovers his entire life through detective work, uncovering secrets of a conspiracy which is set against the battle for global space supremacy between the U.S. and China.

In 2010, The Pillars Of The Earth starred Eddie Redmayne, Ian McShane and Donald Sutherland. It was nominated for seven Emmys and won one. World Without End starred Cynthia Nixon, Charlotte Riley and Miranda Richardson in 2012, winning an Emmy for music.

Tandem, which makes international drama Crossing Lines, has the 10-episode Spotless coming on Esquire this fall.
