Battlestar Galactica alum Tricia Helfer has joined the Season 2 cast of Playstation and Sony Pictures TV’s Powers in a recurring role. She will play FBI Special Agent Lange, who, like the comic book character, shares a history and palpable sexual tension with Detective Walker (Sharlto Copley). Lange walks a fine line between the Powers world and the government, and can be both ally and enemy when it suits her agenda. Production began on Season 2 last week in Atlanta for premiere on Playstation Network in 2016.

Based on the graphic novel series, Powers follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with extraordinary abilities, referred to as “Powers.” The new season will delve into the storyline made famous by the first comic “Who Killed Retro Girl?” as the Powers Division investigates the shocking murder of the world famous superhero (Michelle Forbes) and the mysteries that her death uncovers.

Helfer, repped by Paradigm and Gilbertson Entertainment, is best known for her role as the humanoid Cylon ‘Number Six’ in the Battlestar Galactica TV series. She also played the lead on Syfy’s original miniseries Ascension and ABC’s Killer Women.
