James Corden is set as host of the 19th annual Hollywood Film Awards, dick clark productions announced today. The new host of CBS’ Late Late Show will preside over the November 1 awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton.
“James Corden is one of the brightest stars on television today,” said Allen Shapiro, CEO of dick clark productions. “We can’t wait to see what he has in store for the big night.”

Founded by Carlos de Abreu 18 years ago, HFA helps kick off the annual film awards season. It was televised for the first time last year on CBS on a Friday to modest ratings; dcp and CBS parted ways and the event will be shown via digital platforms this year, with a new TV partner expected in the future.
