Just in time for Back to the Future Day, which is today, Fox has given a put pilot commitment to In Time, a time-travel comedy from Last Man On Earth executive producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Written by Julius Sharpe (Family Guy, The Cleveland Show), In Time revolves around three friends who try to balance the adventure of time travel with the mundane concerns of their present day lives. Lord, Miller and Sharpe executive produce. 20th Century Fox TV, where Lord and Miller are under an overall deal, is the studio.

Fox logo horizontalLord and Miller, who have 3 movie franchises on their resume, The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, are directing the Han Solo Star Wars movie. Under their 20th TV deal, they recently optioned the rights to podcast phenomenon Serial to develop as a TV series through 20th TV’s cable division Fox 21 TV Studios. They also have animated pilot Son Of Zorn starring Jason Sudeikis in contention for a series pickup at Fox. The duo is repped by UTA and Matthew Johnson.

Sharpe, a long-time Seth MacFarlane collaborator, currently works on the Fox/20th TV freshman comedy The Grinder. He is repped by WME.
