Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina have joined the cast of Mark Williams’ directorial debut The Headhunter’s Calling. The news was announced by Voltage Pictures and Gerard Butler, who produces alongside Williams and Alan Siege. The story follows a ruthless headhunter pursuing a lifetime career ambition whose young son is suddenly taken ill.

Bill DuBuque (The Judge) wrote the screenplay and is an exec producer with Danielle Robinson alongside Dan Bekerman of Scythia Films. Dafoe will play the head of the recruitment company who plans to retire. Molina is a downtrodden engineer who has it in him to rise one last time. CAA brokered the deal on behalf of Butler, Williams, Dubuque and reps US rights. Filming starts in Toronto October 26.
