CBS’s daytime talk show The Talk finished the 2014-15 season ahead of The View in the women 25-54 key demo for the first time. Following an unstable season, plagued not only by exits of talent both in-front and behind the camera, but also coming under fire for various controversial comments, the ABC panel talk show has experienced a decline in viewership. The Talk, on the other hand, has held steady with both their hosts and also in the ratings department. The CBS talker, which started to edge out the ABC veteran in the spring, ended the season in women 25-54 (1.0/06 vs. 0.9/06) and tied for the first time in women 18-49 (0.7/05) while averaging 2.60m.
CBS Daytime ended the 2014-2015 broadcast year at No. 1 for the 29th consecutive year. The Drew Carey-hosted The Price Is Right held its place as daytime’s most watched program averaging 5.58 million viewers.
