Transformers star Megan Fox is returning to her TV series roots, signing on for a recurring role on the upcoming fifth season of the Fox comedy New Girl.
Fox will play Reagan, a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakes things 
up in the loft when she rents out Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) room while she is sequestered on jury duty. Fox will make her debut in the sixth episode of Season 5, scheduled to premiere in January.
“It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it,” New Girl creator/executive producer Liz Meriwether said of Fox. “I’ve been a fan of her comedic skills since This Is 40, and I’m so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part – she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up.”

Fox started in TV and was a regular on the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith before transitioning to features. In addition to her role as Mikaela in the first two Transformers films, she also has starred in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Judd Apatow comedy This Is 40, opposite Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd. She next will be seen in Zeroville, with James Franco, Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen, and in the Ninja Turtles sequel. Fox is repped by ICM Partners and Jackoway Tyerman.

Yeah I totally understand what you’re saying, but I have said same thing about Jon Hamm when he was on 30 Rock. She probably meant how crazy it is when one person has it all…male or female.
I appreciate the sensible comment. I noticed on a couple other sites that were reporting Fox joining the cast people (nerds, bloggers, teenagers) were outraged by that remark.
Some people just love the feeling of being outraged. I mean, what are they getting upset about? The crippling limitations that society puts on good-looking people? Spare me. Public discourse gets blander and more homogenous as people become scared to just talk honestly.
Nothing says ‘comedy’ like Megan Fox! Right? No? Oh ok.
Her acting talents can best be summed up by the title of a movie she appears in: “Zeroville.”

I actually think she`s a pretty underrated actress, not a great one, just underrated one.
How Megan Fox is still working is beyond me. I’m surprised that she’s gotten this far with zero talent.

Cause when you think sitcom funny you i automatically think sitcom funny. A desperate move to save a sinking show. Very say well I’m sure she has a big twitter following…..
I know I’m going to get attacked for this, but I thought she was fabulously campy in Jennifer’s Body. I’m looking forward to seeing her New Girl episodes.
