Jeepers Creepers 3 is a go, so protect your eyes. Myriad Pictures will finance and handle international sales for the horror sequel that will reunite the creative team behind the first two installments. Jeepers Creepers 3 will focus on the final day of the Creeper’s 23-day feeding frenzy, as returning character Sergent Tubbs (Brandon Smith) teams up with a task force dedicated to destroying the Creeper for good. As the Creeper fights back, the film will examine “what it is, where it came from and why it does what it does.” Whether or not the film will take into account the time skip at the end of Jeepers Creepers 2 remains to be seen.
Writer-director Victor Salva is returning, along with Jonathan Breck as The Creeper, and Brandon Smith. Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope, producer of the first two films, is coproducing along with Kirk Shaw and Surai Gohill’s Odyssey Media, and Stan Spry’s The Cartel. Coppola, Shaw and Spry will all serve as producers, and Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico will executive produce. The film is set to begin production in Vancouver early in 2016.
Myriad’s upcoming slate of films include the SXSW horror hit Hangman, The Girl In The Book, starring Emily VanCamp and Michael Nyquist, the documentary Brand: The Second Coming, The Parts You Lose, set to star Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, and The Legend of Barney Thomson, the directorial debut of actor Robert Carlyle.
