Three weeks after the premiere of new UK reality series Hunted on Channel 4, CBS has picked up a U.S. version. The eye CBS Logonetwork has given a series order to the hourlong project, in which regular people go on the run and attempt to disappear as highly skilled investigators and trackers pursue them in a nation-wide manhunt. From searching their target’s home and scouring Internet and cell phone histories to identifying behavioral patterns, the team looks for clues to potential hiding places and collaborators that can ultimately lead to capture. Endemol Shine North America is producing.

Created and produced by Shine TV, the original Hunted had a solid premiere on Channel 4 on September 10, opening with 1.73 million viewers and scoring with young adults and on social media. The audience dipped to 1.35 million in Week 2. Here is a trailer:
