Leave it to The Donald to steal some Colbert thunder from Joe Biden. The Vice President is a guest on tonight’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, so Team Trump figured it was a good day to agree to sit down with the CBS show’s new host and maybe slam some Oreos. Or, you know, talk about the issues. Or Carly Fiorina’s face.

The Eye network announced today that GOP front-runner Donald Trump will grace the Ed Late Show Stephen Colbert reclining horizontalSullivan Theater stage on September 22, which gives him plenty of time to insult his White House rivals in the meantime. It’ll be nearly a week after the second Republican debate, which CNN airs Spetember 16, so Trump will have even more ammunition — and Colbert more fodder — to use on Late Show. Maybe he’ll unveil blueprints for that border wall, or perhaps detail plans about how to deport as many illegal immigrants as Ohio has residents.

White House wannabes real and perceived already have done The Late Show during its first week with the former Colbert Report host. Biden taped his appearance this afternoon, and Jeb Bush was a guest on Tuesday’s inaugural episode. Trump will be on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, and Hillary Clinton will do that show September 16.
