EXCLUSIVEAlix Madigan is joining Broad Green Pictures as head of creative affairs, becoming a key player for the ambitious indie film company. The well-respected Madigan is joining from Anonymous Content, where she was working most recently as a staff producer. Prior to that. Madigan had stints at Propaganda Films, Skouras Pictures and Avenue Entertainment. She currently serves on the board of Film Independent.

“Alix has years of industry experience, and we are thrilled to have such a respected and seasoned executive and producer join our team,” said Daniel Hammond, Chief Creative Officer of Broad Green Pictures. “Her expertise will be extremely beneficial to Broad Green.”

Madigan producing credits include Debra Granik’s Winter’s Bone, which helped the interstellar career Jennifer Lawrence; Lynn Shelton’s Laggies with Keira Knightley, Sam Rockwell and Chloë Grace Moretz and directed by Lynn Shelton; and Cherien Dabis’ May in the Summer, starring Hiam Abbass, Bill Pullman and Alia Shawkat. Most recently, Madigan produced The Automatic Hate, directed by Justin Lerner, which will be released next year.

Broad Green has shown ambitious and upmarket tastes in recent months, taking a stake in the highly regarded David Garrett’s sales and finance banner Mister Smith and inking a multi-picture deal with Terrence Malick.
