EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed William Monahan, who won an Oscar for scripting the Martin Scorsese-directed The Departed. Monahan has branched out since then into directing and most recently helmed Mojave, which stars Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund and which was acquired by A24 after premiering at Tribeca. Monahan, who was repped by WME, has a two-year overall deal at Paramount Pictures, where his production shingle Henceforth Pictures is based. Justine Suzanne Jones runs it.

Monahan most recently completed the modern Western Vengeance, which will star Charlize Theron (she’s also producing with Monahan and Megan Ellison). He’s also adapted the John Le Carre novel A Delicate Truth and set the thriller The White Devil under his Paramount deal.

Monahan continues to be managed by Chris Donnelly at LBI, and repped in the UK by Josh Varney at 42. David Weber’s his attorney.
