One of the highlights of the 20th Century Fox Hall H panel during Comic-Con in July was the segment devoted to the studios upcoming Victor Frankenstein, starring James McAvoy as Vic and Daniel Radcliffe as Igor. The footage shown during the proceedings was a lot of fun in and of itself, but the best bit was the hilarious and weirdly touching interplay between McAvoy and Radcliffe, who obviously became good friends during the shoot and subsequently had a lot of fun screwing around and descending into innuendo-laden banter throughout the discussion.

You’ll have to imagine that banter, but now we have a trailer for the film, and you can watch it now. A re-telling of Frankenstein’s monster, Victor Frankenstein focuses on the friendship between Victor and Igor as Victor’s obsession with creating life from dead tissue has repercussions that could destroy both men. The film invents a bromance between the two and also leans heavily to the comedic end of the spectrum, at one point even directly referencing the Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein.

Starring McAvoy and Radcliffe along with Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, and Freddie Fox, it’s directed by Paul McGuigan from a script by Max Landis, and produced by John Davis. It hits theaters November 25.
