The Vampire Diaries alumna and Pretty Little Liars recurring player Torrey DeVitto has been cast as a regular in Chicago Med, the upcoming Chicago Fire spinoff series from Wolf Films and Universal TV. Her casting follows the departure of Laurie Holden, who was a regular in the backdoor pilot, playing troubled ER surgeon Dr. Hannah Tramble. This is not a replacement, as Chicago Med is in the process of adding three new female characters instead, one of them played by DeVitto: Dr. Lilly Manning, a pregnant ER physician.

The second spinoff of Chicago Fire, following Chicago PD, Chicago Med revolves around the team at a Chicago hospital. The new series premieres Tuesday, November 17. The show stars Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell and Brian Tee. DeVitto is repped by APA, Insight, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman.
