Sony Pictures Entertainment today put down stakes for a whopping 16 films for 2016 and 2017, including giving The Dark Tower (the adaptation of a Stephen King book which is expected to launch yet another franchise) a January 2017 slot, its Jumanji remake a Christmas bow; two more installments in the franchise Bad Boys 3 and Bad Boys 4, the latter of which will go into summer 2017; as well as the Jennifer Lawrence-starrer Passengers.

In terms of changing it up on already-slated films, the studio moved Ghostbusters up a week to July 15, 2016 a date that currently holds Fox’s Ice Age 5 and Lionsgate Emma Stone-Ryan Gosling starrer La La Land. It moves it off the previous date it shared with Warner Bros.’ King Arthur. Also, moving is the reboot of The Magnificent Seven reboot which will now be on September 23, 2016 instead of January 2017.
