Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein’s Vendetta Productions has renewed its first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television where the company has been based for the past two years.

The first projecbloodt the duo will tackle under the new pact is one it originally set up at Sony TV last summer, a drama series adaptation of Walter Kirn’s autobiographical book Blood Will Out: The True Story Of A Murder, A Mystery, And A Masquerade. Kirn and Turner are set to co-write the script for the project, which is being shopped to cable networks through Sony TV’s recently re-launched TriStar Television label headed by Suzanne Patmore-Gibbs. It chronicles the 10-year friendship between Kirn and German con artist Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, who went by the name Clark Rockefeller.

Blood Will Out marks a reunion for Turner and Kirn. Turner was nominated for an Oscar with Jason Reitman for adapting Kirn‘s novel Up In The Air.

Under the previous Sony TV deal, CAA-repped Vendetta sold a number of projects to broadcast and cable. Outside the deal, their drama The Advocate went to pilot at ABC last season.
