Rihanna is joining The Voice.

She’s signed on as key advisor to the coaches on Season 9 of the singing competition series. NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt made the announcement this morning during the network’s exec session at the Television Critics Association’s Summer Press Tour. “This is one of music’s true superstars coming on board to influence the lives and careers of some hopeful new performers,” Greenblatt said.

Rihanna will act as advisor to coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, who’s returning after a hiatus last season. Carson Daly is host.

Season 9 premieres on NBC in September.
