UPDATE, 9:16 PM: Hillary Clinton made a cameo on Jon Stewart’s final Daily Show and made sure to personally latch on to the two biggest trends on Twitter today:

Sources close to the 2016 Presidential candidate claim she didn’t watch Donald Trump and others attack her tonight. However, the “H”-signed tweet suggests that perhaps Clinton did sneak a peek while at her latest Hollywood fundraiser.

PREVIOUS, 8:42 PM: The former Secretary of State was looking for cash at a packed Hollywood fundraiser tonight at the home of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s manager Scooter Braun — and online too. Starting at 6:30 PM, tonight’s Hillary Clinton event at Braun and wife Yael Cohen’s place is expected to have raised roughly $1 million for the already well-established Clinton campaign war chest.

Clinton’s fundraiser Thursday came as she made a taped cameo on Jon Stewart’s final night hosting The Daily Show and as Donald Trump, Jeb Bush and the other top candidates aspiring to be her GOP rival in the 2016 presidential race squared off on Fox News in their first debate. The high poll numbers of the controversial and divisive ex-Celebrity Apprentice host and former Clinton donor has been seen as a gift to the Democrats — a gift that Clinton sought out to spin into cash online during her fundraiser at Braun’s house, despite those close to the candidate claiming their much mentioned boss didn’t watch the Republican faceoff.

Thursday’s fundraiser and GOP debate also occurred under anticipation that Vice President Joe Biden will make a final decision soon on whether or not to jump in to the 2016 race.

While a music biz-oriented event, Thursday’s self-styled Conversation With Hillary saw deep-pocket attendees from her rich Hollywood base listen to her avoid the Republicans and talk about job training in the new economy, clean energy and universal preschool. DreamWorks Animation boss Jeffrey Katzenberg, reality star Kim Kardashian, her hip-hop-superstar husband Kanye West and her mother Kris Jenner were among the roughly 250 guests who paid $2,700 a ticket each. Jessica Alba, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Usher and old Arkansas friend Mary Steenburgen also were there. No Bieber, it seems. The $2,700 price tag is the maximum permitted to be given to a candidate directly at an event during the primary period of the campaign. At least one high-profile guest, who met with President Obama last year, went with a very clear agenda — though not the greatest spelling, so she deleted her first #HillaryForPresisent tweet and put up another:

This is Clinton’s third visit to the Hollywood ATM since formally announcing her long-anticipated candidacy on April 12. There was a bit of a difference this time. A health care and labor roundtable earlier Thursday was the first non-fundraising event Clinton has had on all her L.A. trips this campaign. Tonight’s soiree at the Braun residence was her eighth L.A. fundraiser with a constituency that has been very generous in the past to her husband Bill Clinton and her old boss Barack Obama.

They’ve also been digging deep for Hillary’s 2016 run.

The ex-first lady made about $3 million from her May 7 sweep through events at longtime supporter Haim Saban’s home and NYPD Blue producer Steven Bochco‘s place, plus another event and a meeting with SuperPAC Priorities USA supporters. Clinton pulled in more than $1 million from a fundraiser at  HBO President of Programming Michael Lombardo and his partner Sonny Ward’s home and Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer’s Brentwood home on June 19. All of those events had a strong Hollywood turnout with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Norman Lear, Pitch Perfect 2 director and Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks, Peter Chernin, Starz’s Chris Albrecht, Lionsgate’s Rob Friedman, Big Bang Theory boss Chuck Lorre and Homeland EP Howard Gordon

Clinton’s latest multi-state fundraising tour wraps up tomorrow with another Conversation With Hillary in La Jolla, north of San Diego. Designer Burch will be hosting a Hamptons event for Clinton on August 30.
