Andrew Calof is heading to DreamWorks Studios as VP Production, it was announced today by the studio’s president of production Holly Bario. Calof comes to DreamWorks from New Regency, where he served as VP Production working on Oscar Best Picture winners Birdman and 12 Years A Slave.

“Andrew’s extensive experience and enthusiasm for film will be invaluable to our team,” said Bario in a statement. “He has terrific relationships with talent, and great taste in material.”

Calof came to New Regency in 2011 from Paramount where as Director of Creative Affairs he worked on Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, World War Z and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Calof began his career at Dimension/Miramax Films and The Todd Phillips Company where he specialized in acting as a production liaison on films with talent, filmmakers and producers.
