On the heels of getting a renewal for next summer, NBC’s summer staple American Ninja Warrior (1.8 in adults 18-49, 6.7 million) fell 14% from last week to a season low in the demo. It was still the highest-rated program of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers, leading NBC to a nightly win.

The-Whispers-abcSecond was ABC’s Bachelor In Paradise (1.5), which was even with last week. Companion After Paradise (0.8) ticked up a tenth but it continues to hurt drama The Whispers (0.5) at 10 PM. The freshman thriller, which is awaiting a renewal decision, fell another tenth to a new fast national low for a second straight week. On the bright side, The Whispers scored its largest-ever L+3 playback increase in 18-49 for last week’s episode, which jumped +67% over its L+SD rating. Still, those gains would be hard pressed to offset a small base from a low Live+same day rating.

Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance (0.9) was even with last week. CBS aired all repeats. The CW’s ratings are inflated because of a preemption in New York.
