Amazon Prime is due to air Fear The Walking Dead next year in the UK after its initial run on AMC’s local network. Folks in Germany and Austria won’t have to wait that long to stream it, though. In a multi-territory deal with eOne, AMC Studios’ companion piece will premiere in the two countries exclusively on Prime Video on August 24, the day after U.S. broadcast. The Walking Dead is the No. 1 show on German cable in the 18-49 demo, and Amazon Prime has the first four seasons in its catalog there. The company continues to bulk up internationally, recently signing erstwhile Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson for a new motoring program.

Fear The Walking Dead, which already has a second season order, will explore the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family.

The series debuts Stateside on August 23 and will be simulcast on AMC networks globally, in step with the 9 PM U.S. airing and followed by repeats in local primetime. AMC is also doing a global simulcast of martial arts drama Into The Badlands in November. HBO has previously used the tactic with Game Of Thrones.

Fear The Walking Dead is exec produced by the team behind The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, along with showrunner David Erickson.
