Universal Pictures, which is distributing the Amy Schumer-starring comedy Trainwreck , just released a statement about the theater shooting in Lafayette, LA last night at the beginning of a screening of the movie. Two were killed, nine others were injured and the gunman took his own life.

“All of us at Universal Pictures send our heartfelt sympathies to the victims of this senseless tragedy and their families in Louisiana.”

The Judd Apatow-directed pic was beginning its second weekend in U.S. theaters after grossing $30.2 million in its first frame. On Thursday, the pic was playing in 3,158 theaters and made an additional $3.1 million in grosses. It is set for 3,171 theaters beginning today.
