Sony Pictures Television Networks’ U.S. digital broadcast television channel, getTV, had added WADL in Detroit to its affiliate roster.  With the addition of Detroit, getTV is currently broadcast in markets representing over 70% of U.S. television households and is now cleared in all of the top 25 designated market areas.
The network, launched in February 2014, is available across the country on local cable systems and over free-to-air digital channels, featuring earlier movies, many from the Sony Pictures Entertainment library, as well as classic TV and children’s programming.
“We are thrilled that classic television fans in Detroit can now tune in and enjoy the great movie and television entertainment showcased on getTV,” said Tom Troy, senior vice president, distribution, SPT.
The network is broadcast by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Univision Communications Inc. and Cox Media Group owned stations, among other outlets.
