Actor-singer Alison Sudol, who most recently recurred on Amazon’s Transparent and is on USA Network’s Dig, has been tapped to join Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston in Warner Bros’ Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Sudol will play Queenie, the sister of Tina (Waterston). The two women meet Newt Scamander (Redmayne) when the magizoologist makes a stop in New York on his travels to find and document fantastic beasts. David Yates is directing JK Rowling’s screenplay. The pic already has a November 18, 2016 release date. Sudol is repped by Atlas Artists and Don Buchwald & Associates.

Brett Morgen’s documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck will be relaunched in theaters Friday, August 7 via Abramorama. Co-produced by HBO Documentary Films and Universal Pictures International Entertainment Content Group, the pic’s initial run through Universal in April on three screens grossed $140,208 in its first weekend for a three-day per-screen average of $46,736, the highest PSA of any documentary release this year. Initial theaters for the rerelease will include the IFC Center in NY and the ArcLight Hollywood as well as other indie venue. The film debuted exclusively on HBO May 4.
