A doggone good voice cast highlights Despicable Me producer Illumination Entertainment’s The Secret Life Of Pets, which dropped its first look today. The Universal Pictures animated pic has a July 8, 2016 release date and answers the question of what your pets do when you leave them at home for the day (hint: they don’t do windows). Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks chip in for the comedy, directed by Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 helmer Chris Renaud, co-directed by Yarrow Cheney and produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and longtime collaborator Janet Healy. Brian Lynch and Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio penned the script.

Secret Life Of Pets marks the fifth Illumination-Universal pic together since Meledandri launched his outfit in 2008 — the Despicable movies alone grossed $1.5B-plus so attention must be paid here. Before this of course is Minions, the Despicable spinoff that is ramping up for its July 10 bow worldwide.

Check out the teaser above. Will it keep Uni and Illumination’s winning streak alive?
