In her first series gig after the end of Parks & Recreation, series co-star Retta has signed on for a recurring role on the upcoming second season of Bravo’s Girlfiends’ Guide To Divorce. The casting stems from a development deal NBC inked with Retta in the months following the wrap of production on Parks & Rec.

From creator and executive producer Marti Noxon and UCP, Bravo’s first scripted original series Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce follows Abby McCarthy (Lisa Edelstein), a self-help book author whose seemingly perfect career and marriage simultaneously implode, and she finds herself navigating life as a single woman in her 40s. Retta will play Barbara, a rival at Abby’s new job who is less than thrilled with Abby’s optimistic approach to divorce.

Retta, an actress-comedian and Twitter star, was on Parks & Rec for the critically praised show’s entire seven-season run, playing Donna Meagle whose “Treat Yo Self” remains one of the comedy’s most memorable lines. She is repped by Silverlining Entertainment and UTA.
