Here’s the first photo of Blythe Danner and Richard Dreyfuss as Ruth and Bernie Madoff in ABC’s Madoff miniseries (see above).
Madoff follows the rise and spectacular fall of the former investment advisor and convicted felon, and the subsequent fallout on his family, associates and investors. Raymond De Felitta directs the project, which was inspired by ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross’ reports and his book The Madoff Chronicles. Production is currently underway in and around New York City. Cast also features Frank Whaley, Erin Cummings, Tom Lipinski, Lyne Renee, Charles Grodin and and Lewis Black.
Linda Berman and Joe Pichirallo executive produce. Madoff is produced by Lincoln Square Prods in association with ABC Studios.

Well, one thing’s for sure. No one from this will win an Emmy for makeup. They look exactly like Blythe Danner and Richard Dreyfuss.
No one from this show will win an Emmy. Period. HBO is gearing up a Madoff movie as well.
Gotta tell ya, the scripts were excellent and the cast is pretty good. Joe Pichirallo knows how to produce. I wouldn’t be surprised if this thing was better than anyone might think.
It is interesting that one of the major four networks is doing a miniseries in this day and age.
Blythe Danner does look a little like Ruth Madoff but Dreyfuss doesn’t look that much like Bernie Madoff but then again Ed Harris didn’t resemble John McCain in HBO’s Game Change but he was good in it.
We’ll see how this will play out and see how HBO’s version will hold up.
Dreyfuss is one of the most obnoxious people you ever want to meet. Saw a lecture at a film festival with him and instead of discussing the body of work he turned it into a civics lesson. Left an audience completely numb.
I was just on the set on Saturday and they really recreated the office very well. Richard Dreyfuss was very nice and tried on my hat. The movie makes you laugh and cry at the same time and I strongly urge you to watch it when it airs.
