Juston Street has been cast in the Peter Berg-directed Deepwater Horizon. He joins an all-star cast including Mark Walberg, Kurt Russel, Kate Hudson, and Dylan O’ Brian. The feature, based on the New York Times article, highlights the courage of those who worked on the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico when it blew up in April 2010. Street’s character, Gervasio, is a rescue boat worker who is called into action after the oil rig explosion. Street, who just wrapped filming Richard Linklater’s That’s What I’m Talking About, will next be seen in My All American opposite Aaron Eckhart and helmed by Angelo Pizzo. He is repped by CAA and Stone, Meyer.

Jonathan Joss has joined the cast of the MGM/Sony remake of the 1960 classic The Magnificent Seven. In the Antoine Fuqua-directed flick, he will play Denali, second-in-command to robber baron Bartholomew Bogue, the leader of a ruthless group of thieves that terrorizes a small town in order to take it over. The film opens January 13, 2017. Joss, repped by Bohemia Group and House of Representatives, most recently recurred on Parks And Recreation.

Katherine CastroKatherine Castro has been cast in Alberto G Rodriguez’s thriller The Summoning opposite Eric Roberts. The film follows a law student who, while working on an old murder case, is visited by spirits from her past and uncovers an insidious truth that threatens her life. The feature is being produced by Christian Luna and is set to begin filming this month. The Dominican Republic-born Castro is repped by Huxley Entertainment Management.

John Brotherton has been added to the cast of Precious Cargo alongside Bruce Wills, Mark Paul Gosselaar, and Claire Forlani. The actioner, written and helmed by Max Adams, is about a crime boss who tries to make off with the profits from another thief’s heist. Brotherton will play Nicholas, an unhappily married ex-military who joins the con artists on a grand robbery. Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing. Brotherton, whose previous credits include Furious 7 and The Conjuring, is repped by Domain Talent and Anonymous Content.
