Justin Prentice (Glee, Malibu Country) has been cast in a multi-episode arc for the second half of the fifth and final season of MTV comedy series Awkward. Prentice will play Patrick, a blue-blooded Princeton student and world traveler who meets Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) while visiting the country club. With high school ending and everyone heading in different directions, the second half of Season 5 will jump forward to one year later, summertime back in Palos Hills. In addition to Reed, Prentice joins stars Ashley Rickards, Beau Mirchoff, Molly Tarlov, Brett Davern, Nikki DeLoach, Desi Lydic, Greer Grammer and Mike Faiola. Tom Lipinski has been cast opposite Richard Dreyfuss in ABC’s miniseries Madoff, from ABC News’ Lincoln Square Prods. He will play Mark Madoff, Bernie’s (Dreyfuss) older son, a trader with BLMIS who has a gift for people. His desire for a larger role in the investment firm often puts him at odds with his father. Inspired by ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross’ reports and his book The Madoff Chronicles, the mini follows the rise and spectacular fall of the now-imprisoned swindler and the $65 billion Ponzi scheme he concocted. Lipinski just wrapped season 2 of The Knick for Cinemax and can next be scene in Paolo Sorentino’s Youth which just played at the Cannes Film Festival. He is repped by Gersh and TMT Entertainmen.
