RLJ Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to science fiction thriller June, the company said today. The film follows a young orphan girl sharing her body with an ancient supernatural monster called Aer, bent on the destruction of humankind. She is forced to save herself from Aer after she’s adopted by a loving family. Kennedy Brice (The Walking Dead), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Victoria Pratt (Hush Little Baby) star.

Directed by L. Gustavo Cooper and co-written by Cooper and Sharon Y. Cobb, it’s produced Cooper, James Fler, Jacquelyn Frisco, Gregor Habsburg, Andrew Thomas Hunt, Michael Paszt and Duane A. Sikes. Michelle Czernin von Chudenitz and Jessica Kill exec produce.

Chief acquisition officer Mark Ward negotiated the deal on behalf of RLJE/Image Entertainment, and Raven Banner’s Michael Paszt and James Fler negotiated on behalf of the filmmakers.
