We’re getting another peek at AMC’s The Walking Dead companion series Fear The Walking Dead.

Last week we saw a petrified Nick (Frank Dillane) on the run from something. The latest clip shows a petrified student expressing his concern to his guidance counselor Madison (Kim Dickens) about an increase in unusual incidents. “Reports in five states,” he says alarmingly. “They don’t know if it’s a virus or a microbe. They don’t know, but it’s spreading. … No, people are killing!”

Madison tries to calm him, saying, “The authorities would tell us.” Really? Watch the clip above and tell us what you think.

Set in Los Angeles but shot in Vancouver, Fear The Walking Dead focuses on new characters and storylines. Frank Dillane, Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, and Alycia Debnam Carey star. Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert from The Walking Dead are executive producing for AMC Studios. Dave Erickson, who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Kirkman, is an executive producer and showrunner. Adam Davidson directed the pilot episode. The series got a two-season order in March, after it was picked up to pilot last fall.

Fear The Walking Dead premieres in August on AMC.
