Entertainment One (eOne) and Creative England are launching a new TV venture to develop original, new British talent. The two companies will develop, finance and produce the drama content intended for global consumption. The drama slate will look to work with regional UK producers and creators. eOne and Creative England are currently recruiting for the exec to lead the new venture.

“Our creative industries are world-class and this unique partnership will help us continue to produce content that thrills international audiences,” said Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture and the Digital Econom. “Creative England’s expertise in discovering original voices coupled with Entertainment One’s network is a wonderful match.”

eOne has production capabilities across numerous English-language markets including Canada, the US, Australia and the UK. eOne will provide international distribution for any content produced out of the venture through its London sales office.

Creative England has invested over $22m into the UK creative industries across film, TV, games and digital media.
