Stand-up comedian Alice Wetterlund (The Interview) has joined the cast of Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates, the Fox comedy toplined by Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza. The film begins shooting this summer in Hawaii and revolves around two hard-partying and immature brothers who place an online ad to find plus-ones for a wedding, finding dates who out-party and out-immature them. Jake Szymanski is helming. The script is by Andrew Cohen and Brendan Obrien. Wetterlund recurs on HBO’s Silicon Valley and is repped by APA, 3 Arts and attorney Lev Ginsburg.

Peter Stormar, Kerry Bishé, Lesley Manville and Ari Millen have joined the cast of Rupture, the sci-fi thriller that stars Noomi Rapace and Michael Chiklis, who joined up last week. Production kicked off today in Toronto on the pic about a single mother (Rapace) abducted by members of a terrifying and mysterious organization who reveal to her that humanity faces an unsettling threat from within. Steven Shainberg is directing the script from Brian Nelson (Hard Candy) based on a story the pair hatched together. AMBI Distribution, the worldwide sales arm of AMBI Group, is handling worldwide sales.

Amplify Releasing has acquired U.S. rights to Xavier Dolan’s Tom At The Farm and will release it August 14. The pic won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2013 Venice Film Festival but never made it to America.
