UPDATE, 6:22 PM: Well, David Ayer didn’t wait long to give the world another look at the upcoming Suicide Squad today. After posting an almost full cast in costume pic earlier Sunday, the director of the Warner Bros supervillians movie has now put up a solo shot of Will Smith as Deadshot – and yes, that is Will under that mask mirroring the one the antihero assaisin wears in comicland

PREVIOUS, 4:38 PM: Less than a month after director David Ayer tweeted out a photo of the cast of the Warner Bros supervillians flick at their first script read-through, the End of Watch helmer had more to share today. Though Jared Leto’s Joker wasn’t with the gang, the rest of the Suicide Squad cast appeared in full costume Sunday in a pic Ayer put up on social media.

In the photo, Will Smith is locked and loaded as Deadshot, third from the right next to Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Also there is Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo. While Viola Davis, Common and Scott Eastwood are also in the film, the absence of Leto’s Joker from today’s photo will probably get the most attention other than Robbie’s literally killer smile. Could no Joker, who had his own solo online reveal in late April to less than stellar reactions, mean that Batman’s arch enemy is getting a fashion retooling for this flick?

With filming started on the 13th of last month in Toronto and an appearance by WB’s Batman himself Ben Affleck on set setting fans into a frenzy, Suicide Squad is set for release on August 5, 2016.
