Saturday Night Live‘s ratings are often rusty coming back from hiatus. Last night, SNL also had to compete with the hoopla surrounding the big boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao and the opening of the second Avengers movie. The SNL show hosted by Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson with musical guest Wiz Khalifa drew a 3.4 household rating in the Nielsen 56 metered markets and a 1.6 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with Local People Meters. That was down a bit from the most recent SNL original on April 11, hosted by Taraji P. Henson with musical guest Mumford & Sons, which posted a 3.8 household rating and a 1.9 in 18-49.  SNL gets solid DVR lifts, growing by an average of +43% from live plus same day ratings to live+7 day ratings.

With last night’s show, SNL kicked off its final stretch of originals, which includes two more editions hosted by Reese Witherspoon and Louis CK.
