On the heels of landing a fifth season renewal at ABC, the 20th Century Fox TV-produced sitcom Last Man Standing has gotten an off-network deal at Hallmark Channel where it will begin airing repeats in January 2016. Hallmark Channel is a logical home for the show as it also carries Last Man star Tim Allen’s previous ABC sitcom, Home Improvement.

20th TV syndication sibling Twentieth Television originally introduced Last Man Standing and New Girl at the 2014 NATPE confab. There was an initial effort to sell both comedies to cable together. That plan later changed, and New Girl was taken out first, landing at TBS and MTV in a joint deal last summer.

Last Man Standing, which airs Fridays at 8 PM on ABC, also stars Nancy Travis and Hector Elizondo. It was created by Jack Burditt.
