Kelly Ripa of Live With Kelly and Michael was honored tonight for Excellence in Media at the GLAAD Media Awards at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts received the Vito Russo Award.

Strand Releasing’s feature film Lilting was named Best Limited Release, and Best Documentary nod went to L Word Mississippi: Hate The Sinner. The HBO series Last Week Tonight With John Oliver was recognized for “Pepe Julian Onziema” for Best Talk Show Episode.

Other GLAAD Awards were announced March 21 in Los Angeles.
