On the heels of a very successful development season, comedy writer-producers Brian Bradley and Steven Cragg have re-upped their overall deal with Universal Television for two more years. Bradley and Cragg had two scripts that went to pilot this past season, Uncle Buck at ABC and How We Live at NBC. Both were in serious contention with one, Uncle Buck, a new take on the John Hughes classic, landing a series order.

“Cragg and Bradley produced two strong comedy pilots this year, which yielded their first series pick-up with Uncle Buck,” said Uni TV EVP Bela Bajaria. “They are smart, funny writers. We admire their work and are happy to extend our relationship with them.”

Before coming to Uni TV in 2013, Bradley and Cragg had a deal at ABC Studios, serving as consulting producers on Happy Endings and Scrubs and writing and executive producing the ABC comedy pilot King Of Van Nuys, toplined by John Leguizamo. Bradley and Cragg, who got their start in late night as writers on MadTV and Saturday Night Live, respectively, are repped by UTA. Bradley is also repped by attorney David Matlof, Cragg by Fred Toczek.
